Lake Lanier, GA
What the lake widget shows
- The latest water level reading (feet above sea level, or gage height where that is all the gauge reports).
- How far the lake is above or below its full pool or seasonal target, where the operator publishes one; otherwise how it compares with the normal level for the date.
- The 7-day change, and water temperature where the gauge or a nearby gauge measures it.
- The data source and the time of the reading.
What the river widget shows
- Current streamflow in cubic feet per second (or gage height where the gauge only measures height), and how it compares with the median flow for the date.
- The 24-hour trend, gage height, and water temperature where measured.
- On whitewater rivers such as the Ocoee, Nantahala, Gauley and Kennebec: whether each run is too low, runnable or high against the American Whitewater range, and the next scheduled dam release when the operator publishes one.
- The gauge and the time of the reading.
The widget is a small, fast page with no ads, no cookies and no third-party scripts. It is rebuilt every day with the latest readings. Recent readings are provisional and may be revised.
